Seasonal Color Analysis: The Best Eyewear for Summers

Posted Jul 8, 2024 | Fashion & Trends

Welcome back to our Seasonal Color Analysis series! Now that we’ve taken a look at fall, winter, and spring, it’s finally time to turn our sights to summer. You may assume that a season as bombastic as summer—with its fireworks, neighborhood barbeques, and long, hot days at the beach—would have an equally loud range of colors associated with it. But summers are actually best served by cool, dusty tones like pastels, lavenders, and grays. Think of a soft blue sky over a hazy skylight at the height of the day, and you’re on your way to understanding what makes summer such a special season.

How Do I Know If I’m a Summer?

If you’re a summer, you’ll likely notice that your features—your eyes, your hair, and your skin—lean towards the soft and cool. Your skin is probably pale or rose-beige, and your hair has ashy tones, ranging from blonde and brown to gray. As for your eyes, they’re also probably muted colors like light blue and green, or hazel.

Try to find eyewear in lighter, more subdued shades like silver, gray, and blue. Metal frames or partially transparent frames are a great choice too. Here are a few of our favorites.
